MA Graduation menswear fashion collection

‘Communication Tube’ is a menswear graduation collection, which is inspired by the youth subcultures of the 80s in Russia. The main image of the collection was influenced by the ‘phenomenon’ of russian rock idol Viktor Tsoi, who was the iconic representation of the free spirit of the young generation. Moreover, there exists a more personal perspective to this collection, which is presented through the story of the designer’s mother, who was about 20 years old during the 80’s. The textiles in this collection include a variety of techniques such as printing, knitting and weaving. All the printed pieces were painted by hand or with the screen using reactive dyes and pigment dyes.
