A distinct characteristic of textile is the illusion of endlessly repeating patterns that in most cases are composed of elements of the restricted size of repeats. The way the pattern flows from one repeat to another sets the rhythm and balance of the whole surface. On Repetition is Kaisa Karawatski’s MA thesis collection that studies the various ways in which repetition is present in the textile design and production processes.
