A collaboration project

The collaborative piece Synergy, by textile designer Anna Sorri and furniture designer Maija Leskelä, started by their shared interest in three-dimensional surfaces and shapes. The designers were inspired by traditional rice paper lamps and natural organic shapes, while conversation and material experiments guided the process. Synergy creates a material combination greater than the sum of its parts, similar to the achievements of collaboration between two designers from different fields.
